Sorry, I just realized comment posting was broken

I just realized that comment posting wasn't working.  The Captcha plugin (spam prevention) for Drupal that I've been using was rejecting all attempts to create a comment.  It was in image mode, and I switched to math mode, which seems to be working.

I'm very sorry to anyone who typed in a comment only to be rejected.  I know how frustrating that can be.

The payday loan industry is

The payday loan industry is in danger because there are politicians who wish to wipe out the entire industry. But that is not what is best for the people. For instance, in Georgia, the bankruptcy filings, bounced checks and foreclosures all skyrocketed after the cash advance product was done away with. With no disregard for these negative statistics, following the closure of payday loans in these states, several other governors continue to try and follow suit. Top national politicians are now stepping out in hopes of wiping the industry completely off the map. Should such politicians succeed, there is a big possibility that there will be increased unemployment rates, more debt, more foreclosures and an even more damaged economy. It seems that even that great

It seems that even that great bastion of freedom and the ability to choose for one’s self, the Great American West, is no longer safe from the desire of the banking system to monopolize all financial matters of the American People. The Arizona Credit Union System is trying to lobby the payday loan industry out of existence. They are hoping that their e-mail blitz of up to (their estimates) 1.6 million people will convince enough people to shoot down Proposition 200. Proposition 200, supported by many people, including the Arizona Community Financial Services Association, will introduce reform to the payday loan industry, BY the payday loan industry, that will benefit consumers more than the industry itself, by lowering fees, do away with extensions by putting in flexible payment plans, regulate internet lending, and shore in the amount of actual store fronts in the state. This will not only benefit the customers of payday loan stores, but will also keep the industry alive past the legislated expiration date of the industry in 2010. Arizona can ill afford more unemployment in this troubled time for our economy. The Arizona Credit Union

The Arizona Credit Union System evidently wants the payday advance industry in the state to dry up and die. Their position is likely fueled entirely by self interest, and they are stepping up its lobbying efforts in order to drive the competition out and get their hands on their customers. The Arizona Community Financial Services Association is one of the organizations vying to pass Proposition 200, which will regulate the industry in the state, reforming the industry into a completely legitimate and regulated industry, which will benefit the businesses, but most of all the consumers. The bill will lower loan fees, create far more flexible repayment plans, and put greater restrictions on physical stores and further regulate the online lenders. These are real reforms, and they benefit the consumers, but they also will stave off the doomsday clock for payday loan lenders in the state, set to expire in 2010. Does anyone really think that ANY state in can afford to create more unemployment? This coming election day in

This coming election day in the United States, consumers who benefit and depend upon the privilege and the availability of payday loans for unexpected emergency expenses must speak up. You have a chance to say your piece and voice your demand for financial freedom. Ohio’s HB 545 is not a Robin Hood that will “steal from the rich and give to the poor.” Instead, this is more like the Sheriff of Nottingham appointing more vassals, and this is what banks and credit unions are supporting. They’re aware that this proposal will leave many financial operations, such as payday loans and other lenders, vulnerable or out of business. This will allow banks and credit unions the opportunity to snatch up any business that’s left behind, and subject consumers to a product that will be even more profitable to banks: overdraft protection. A 391percent on faxless payday loans is nothing compared to an overdraft protection which typically costs in excess of 1,000 percent APR. So, which one’s the moneymaker? Keep in mind that payday loans are typically only two-week loans to begin with, so it’s an apple and orange argument. In addition, voting NO on HB 545 will save about 6,000 jobs in Ohio. Undoubtedly, many who might lose their jobs because of government overregulation will be forced to work and/ or live outside of Ohio. This means it will create a tax and spending power deficit for a state that is already suffering severe budget problems. Join in on the discussion and heed what people’s perspectives are on HB 545 on the blog at http://ideatreks.wordpress.com/2008/05/01/ohio-house-bill-545/. If you value the importance of financial freedom and you want to prevent further economic disaster, vote NO on HB 545. The New York Times published

The New York Times published the transcript of John McCain’s stump speech in Dayton, Ohio, and it appears as though McCain is in the mood to fight: “I'm an American. And I choose to fight. Don't give up hope. Be strong. Have courage. And fight,” he says. He is urging Americans to fight for what’s right for the country, for justice and opportunity, and for the children. However, with matters like Issue 5 on the agenda for Ohio voters, McCain made sure not to gloss over the looming economic concerns. He pointed out that “Barack the Redistributor” plans to spread the wealth but has no plan to implement new policies that actually generate more wealth. Obama believes taxes are too low. McCain says, while the senior senator believes spending is too high. payday loans don’t make McCain as angry as Obama’s promise to bail out Wall Street bankers with $750 billion of taxpayers’ money. McCain’s ultimate plan for the economy is to “get it out of the ditch and back in the lead.” He feels a stable economy will allow Americans to rest assured that they’ll be passing on a better life to their kids and grandkids. One of the most prominent to

One of the most prominent to all of us is the sport. We want to join in a sport that we love. And some of the athletes are joining in such sports and compete to give honor and privilege to their country. Do you know that the Philadelphia Phillies have been crowned World Series champions? It’s been 28 years since the last time they climbed to the top of the mountain (1980). Back then, Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose and Steve Carlton showed the American League the meaning of spirited, winning baseball. Now in 2008, Cole Hamels has been named the World Series MVP.Emotions run high as the city of Philadelphia prepare for celebration of the boys bringing home the Commissioner’s Trophy. However, community supporters like Temple University are preparing for mass rioting. Temple had beefed up security and surveillance cameras and also stated that “students involved in vandalism, refusal to disperse, destruction of property, etc. will face both criminal and University disciplinary action.” Is it really necessary for a feel of police state crackdown? I mean, this is Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love” - of course it is! So, if you do happen to be ready to riot, take a chill pill first. Remember to be respectful and be happy. If someone happens to smash in your windshield and you need some help to take care of it before you’re paid again, affordable personal loans are available at the click of a mouse. That is, if it still works after those liquid wild-sprayings. For the past 28 years the Philadelphia Phillies have won their first World Series. The last time they climbed to the top of the mountain (1980), Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose and Steve Carlton showed the American League the meaning of spirited, winning baseball. Today, as emotions run high and the city of Philadelphia gears up for celebration of their boys bringing home the Commissioner’s Trophy, pillars of the community like Temple University are preparing for mass rioting. According to Dean of Students Ainsley Carry, “Students involved in vandalism, refusal to disperse, destruction of property, etc. will face both criminal and University disciplinary action. Sanctions may range from fines up to and including immediate suspension. Surveillance – including videotaping – is heightened during the Series on campus and throughout the city.” I’m all for personal responsibility, which includes showing respect for others and their property. But is the feel of a police state crackdown necessary? Wait, this is Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love.” Of course it’s necessary. If you do happen to be ready to riot, take it down about 10 notches first. Be happy, but be respectful. If you find your windshield smashed by someone less respectful of property than you are – and you need some help to take care of that before you’re paid again, affordable personal loans are available at the click of a mouse. That is, if it still works after wild sprayings of liquid refreshments. Halloween was the best time

Halloween was the best time of the year when I was a kid. There were not many things I looked forward to more than Halloween trick-or-treating. My sweet tooth knew no limits when it came to that all-day-and-night candy bacchanalia. Everywhere you turned, you’d find strange-looking creatures, big and small, harvesting different candies from every corner to collect the most sweet, tasty pieces of jewels. I do not exaggerate when I said I had a sweet tooth. If the world was made of chocolate, I swear, I would’ve munched it flat. My Halloween routine, however, had nothing on the Trick-or-Treater’s coding system these folks in Sacramento, California created. Kids would leave codes for each other at the foot of the driveway telling the other kids everything from “no one home,” “full-size candy bars,” and even “mean dogs.” Every kid knew the chalk-marking system, saving a whole lot of trouble for each other. They’ve made Trick-or-Treating more convenient with these clear signals. I wish the families who, during my time, were facing some temporarily rough financial times, would’ve considered timely personal loans to help them score some good chocolates and candy bars. They are affordable and easy to pay back over time. As a matter of fact, they would have paid off their loan by the time I finished all the candy in my bag – and I went through it quick! My friends, my countrymen,

My friends, my countrymen, Americans, hear me out. I hope you all thought long and hard about whom to cast your vote for on Election Day. I’d sure you think everyone did, but I’m not so sure anymore. Most people think harder about whether or not they have to take out a payday advance. Case in point is this audio excerpt from the “Howard Stern Show,” reposted by BPM DJ’s in Pittsburgh, PA. Roving Reporter Sal went out to gather man-on-the-street interviews to see how many people supported Obama or McCain. The underlying motive was to see if they supported Obama it’s simply because he is black? The comedia magnae is that his polling point was Harlem, NYC. His trick is even more telling – he reverses the candidates’ positions, so that it would seem that Obama’s policies were actually Mc Cain’s, and McCain’s Obama’s. The people he spoke to preferred the actual platform of John McCain, and the policies that he attributed to McCain (which are actually Obama’s) were the ones nobody wanted anything to do with. I hope you all thought long and hard before voting. I sincerely hope, my fellow Americans that you did not just jump on the bandwagon. http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2008/11/06/obama-to-bring-change-how-will-payday-loans-change/">Payday Loans
