Today I was looking around java.net, the new Java community site created by Sun. According to a post by Karsten Lentzch on Java Desktop:

JGoodies is excited to announce the open sourcing of two of its projects: Looks and Forms. Read more on the JGoodies project page on java.net

Though there's really nothing yet on the JGoodies java.net project page, it is listed as being released under the BSD License. It also appears that they are releasing both the Forms and Looks libraries. If you don't know what JGoodies is, head over to JGoodies.com and take a look at the Java Web Start demonstrations. This is indeed great news for the Java community.
