I'm Dan Martin, born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri.  I attended high school at Francis Howell, then attended University of Missouri Rolla.

Professional Information

Professionally, I'm a web developer, working mostly on Java and J2EE solutions. I have a strong background in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, and other client side technology.  I have quite a bit of experience with Geographical Information Systems.  I am very comfortable administering systems, including Linux and Unix.  But, I am at my best when designing and developing attractive advanced user-friendly web interfaces.  So far, my career has been split between Enterprise Rent-A-Car and as a consultant to MasterCard, employed by Technology Partners.  For more information, see:

Personal Information

In my free time, I spend much of my time in front of a computer.  I love to play with software even more than I love to write it. 

I own a house in Creve Coeur with my beautiful girlfiriend Leslee (pictured to the right). 

I'm an open source enthusiast. I use only open source software (free as in freedom, when possible) on my home machines including desktops, servers, and laptops. Currently I'm running Ubuntu Linux on all my machines, but have run others such as Gentoo and Redhat in the past.

I enjoy travelling, and have visited most of the United States, parts of Europe, the Carribean, Mexico, and Canada.

I bowl on the Ollivette Lanes' "Men's Night Out" league every week during the bowling season.  I enjoy playing video games, currently on my latest toy, the PlayStation 3.
